MailerLite + Make

How to integrate MailerLite to SEEN using Make

Prerequisites:

  • MAKE plan with enough monthly Ops to support the volume of subscribers.

This guide will help you set up a trigger-based integration between MailerLite and SEEN using Make’s native MailerLite and SEEN integrations (App), and receive landing page URL and an email thumbnail URL back to MailerLite as a subscriber fields.

  • This example uses the “Watch Subscriber Events” MailerLite module in Make, which triggers when a new contact is created, and the “Create/Update a Subscriber” module to send data back from SEEN to MailerLite.
  • This example uses the profiles first name and last name as the personalisations, and their email address as their unique identifier.

Send Data to SEEN

  1. Create a new Make Scenario, and add the “MailerLite” ⇒ “Watch Subscriber Events” module
  1. Connect your MailerLite account to Make by creating your API-key and adding it to Make.
  1. Choose the event that triggers the flow.
      • In this example we choose “A new subscriber is added to an account”
  1. Add an “SEEN - Create a video” module, and fill it out with the following:
      • Create a Connection:
        • Add the Token you have received from SEEN.
        • Add the Campaign Slug you have received from SEEN.
      • Standard fields:
        • Add the standard fields you will be sending in. Note that both First Name and Customer ID are mandatory fields
      • Extra Arguments:
        • If you use additional data fields in you video, you can map them by using Key-Value pairs under Extra Arguments.

  1. You can now click on “Run Once”, and create a test contact.
  1. If everything worked as intended, you can now activate the scenario.

Receive data back from SEEN

  1. Create a new subscriber field for the landing page URL and the email thumbnail URL in MailerLite.
      • In this example they are called Seen landing page URL and Seen email thumbnail url
      • Type ⇒ Text
  1. Create a new Make scenario to send data back from SEEN to MailerLite.
      • Add a “SEEN - Watch created video” module to the scenario.
        • Create a webhook
        • Share your webhook URL with SEEN
  1. Add a new “MailerLite" module, and choose “Create / Update a Subscriber”
      • You will be able to reuse the MailerLite connection you created in the first step, so no need to re-authenticate.
  1. Fill out the email, Seen landing page URL and Seen email thumbnail url fields with the values from the “Watch created video” module
      • As we used the contacts email address as their Customer ID, we will map the Customer ID field to the email field
        • Notion image
  1. You can now activate both flows to test the connection. You should now see the Seen landing page URL and Seen email thumbnail url populated in your test contact.
