Creating a video
New Project
Start a new blank project. You will first be prompted to select the aspect ratio (16:9 or 9:16) of the project.
Or create a new Project using Templates.
Now, you can start editing. All Projects save automatically.
Make sure only one User is editing the same Project at once.
Save as Template
You can create Project Templates based on your Project, to make the creation process faster.
The Studio editor is made up of the following areas.
Viewport
Here you can see your video, select elements, and move them.
Timeline
Timeline is built from blocks and represents your video.
Here you can check the duration and timing of the animations.
Switch between the views to see script or waveform of audio.
Block
Click on the top edge of the block to select it.
Drag the handles to trim the block.
Hold Alt (⌥) + drag the handles to speed up/slow down (retime) the block.
Left Panel
Here you can find the elements that can be used to build the video.
Blocks Library
Click to add a new Block to the Timeline.
Use Blocks from the Seen Library or use Blocks that you saved earlier.

You can also add videos to the Timeline as Blocks.
Brand Kit
Apply your brand colours, fonts and logo to the current and new Blocks using Brand Kit.
Media Library
Upload your images, videos, and audio.
All your assets are available to use across every Project.
Script
Generate voiceover with the voice of your choice. See AI Voices to learn how to create your own AI Voice.
You can generate personalised voiceover using your data. Learn how to connect your data to your video in the Personalisation section below.
Personalisation
Create or select existing properties for your Project, that will be replaced with data.
You can also add placeholders to your personalisation tags to make the video resemble the final output while working.
Subtitles
Create subtitles. You can generate subtitles from Text To Speech automatically or add them manually. Subtitles can be personalised. One project can have multiple subtitle languages, which can be selected in the player. Auto-translate subtitles to other languages.
Create objects
Add a new element to the block. It will be static and visible for the duration of the whole block.
Right Panel
Here you can adjust the properties of the Project or selected element of the video, or see and select a layer you want to edit.

Project
Details of the Project. Available when no video element is selected.

Thumbnail
Seen generates two distinct thumbnail images alongside the video from the frame you set here: the Thumbnail, used in the Player before the play button is pressed, and the Email thumbnail, used in email communication. See Thumbnails for how they differ in size and appearance.
Add a Block and select Add as thumbnail. The added Block will be at the end of the timeline. Move the playhead to the chosen frame, adjust the look, and press Set Thumbnail.
Or select it from your timeline.
Settings
- Preview Subtitles – Enable/disable visibility of the subtitles in the project.
- Enable voice validation – Enable/disable additional check of dynamic AI voiceover generated using Script.
Template
Create Project Templates based on your Project, to make the creation process faster.
Live Preview
Allows you to see how the video will look when personalised. Tags in curly brackets will be replaced with input added here.
Text
Change the font, font size, colour, alignment, and spacing.
You can generate personalised text using your data.
Video
Replace the content with another video, image or Solid Color.

Image
Replace the content with another image, video or Solid Color.
- Format:
jpg,jpeg,png - Size: No more than
15 MB
Crop the image.
Personalise the selected image using a variable with a public URL (see Personalisation above).
Solid Object
Change the background to a different colour or replace with video or image.
Shape
Change the colour.
Layers
Select a layer to adjust it. Click the eye icon to hide a layer.
- Some layers' names may have extra details that can help create the best result.
- Some Blocks have complex layering. Make sure you choose the right layer before the media replacement, e.g. iPhone Spin Block.
Next steps
When you're happy with the design of the video, move to the Review tab to preview your video, publish it to make it ready for distribution, and to configure your video player settings.
