Glossary ​

Definitions for terms used throughout the Seen Platform documentation.

Account structure ​

Account ​

Your login identity for the Seen Platform.

Workspace ​

The environment holding your Projects, Properties, and settings.

Project ​

One personalised video campaign inside a Workspace, with its own Design, Review, Run, and Insights steps.

Property ​

A data field (e.g. first_name) used to personalise videos. Properties are created once at the Workspace level, so you can reuse them across Projects instead of recreating them each time. Each Project then selects which Properties it uses and populates their values, for example via the API.

Project steps ​

Design ​

The step where you build your personalised video in Studio: Blocks, AI Voices, Custom Blocks, and Thumbnails.

Review ​

The step where you preview your video with test values, publish it, and configure player settings.

Run ​

The step where you generate and deliver videos via API or CSV import, and configure delivery webhooks.

Insights ​

The step where you view a Project's performance statistics: timeline, conversion funnel, VPR, VTR, and device breakdown.

Studio ​

Studio ​

Seen's video editor, used in the Design step to build a Project's video.

Block ​

A reusable component within Studio, used to build a video in the Timeline.

Custom Block ​

A Block built in After Effects with the Seen plugin and imported into Studio.

Brand Kit ​

A saved set of your brand colours, fonts, and logo, applied to Blocks in Studio.

Viewport ​

The Studio editor panel showing the video preview.

Timeline ​

The Studio editor panel showing the sequence of Blocks that make up the video.

Template ​

A saved starting point for a new Project.

Personalisation ​

Replacing static content with a viewer-specific Property value.

Player ​

Seen Video Player (Player) ​

The video player that plays a Project's personalised video, either as a standalone link or embedded elsewhere.

The unique URL for a specific viewer's personalised video.

Standalone player ​

The Player used as its own full-page link, offering a full-screen experience for the viewer.

Embedded player ​

The Player embedded via iframe into another page or app.

Player Title ​

The title text shown together with the Player and its thumbnail.

Thumbnail ​

The preview image shown in the Player before playback, matching the Project's aspect ratio.

Email thumbnail ​

A separate, fixed-width thumbnail generated for use in email, with a play button overlaid on top.

CTA (Call-to-Action) ​

The clickable button inside the Player that links to a page or action.

Settings & monitoring ​

Dashboard ​

The Workspace-level view of aggregate statistics across all Projects, with project and date range filters.

Activity ​

The Workspace-level real-time log of platform events, used to debug Projects, video generation, and webhooks.

Email Notifications ​

A daily email digest of errors in the Workspace from the previous day.

Webhook ​

An HTTP request Seen sends to your systems when a Project generates a video or a Workspace-level event occurs, configured in Run or External Events.
